  • Palio di Siena (Siena, Tuscany): This historic horse race takes place twice a year, on July 2nd and August 16th, in Siena’s Piazza del Campo. It is a thrilling display of horsemanship and medieval traditions.
  • Bravio delle Botti in Montepulciano. Historical re-enactment of a challenge between the eight city districts, which in the past competed with horses and today with barrels. The barrels, weighing approximately 80 kg each, are pushed and rolled by two athletes from each district called “pushers”, along the uphill route
  • Palio dei Terzieri of Città della Pieve in the province of Perugia is one of the most renowned events in Umbria. The first news we have of the Terzieri competing in the Palio dates back to 1200 when they were named in a public document.
  • Giostra del Saracino (Arezzo, Tuscany): Held throughout the summer, this jousting tournament sees horseback riders representing different neighborhoods of Arezzo competing in a contest of skill and accuracy.
  • Umbria Jazz Festival (Perugia, Umbria): One of the most important jazz festivals in Europe, it typically takes place in July and attracts famous musicians from around the world. The festival offers a vibrant atmosphere with concerts, jam sessions, and workshops.
  • Infiorata (Spello, Città’ della Pieve, Paciano and many more in Umbria): In June, several villages host. this floral festival where streets are transformed into colorful carpets made from flower petals arranged in intricate designs.
  • Trasimeno Music Festival and Trasimeno blues. Two great music festival to celebrate classical and blues music along lake Trasimeno
  • Great food events; almost every week in summer there is a food festival to celebrate our heritage, from the gnocchi in June to the goose festival in August.
